STAGE MANAGEMENT MODULE

The Stage management module is designed to introduce the learner to the process of successfully managing a stage production. It will help the learner to acquire the skills required to complete that task. It does so in five chapters from first beginnings to getting on the stage, through a series of linked exercises and assignments.
The Stage Management Module includes the following topics:

The duties and tasks of the Stage Management team
Charts that deal with reading a play from Stage Management point of view, how to identify critical information, how to create spreadsheets, highlights and colour tagging
Auditions
The Production Book – making it, working with blocking areas on the stage, blocking performers' moves using abbreviations, preparing the the rehearsal space, maintaining paperwork.
How to co-ordinate the move from the rehearsal room to the theatre,
how to manage a technical rehearsal, how to devise a cueing script and call a show
